Description
The product described is a Saunders Waterford watercolor paper block with the following specifications:
- Brand/Mill: Saunders Waterford, made by St Cuthberts Mill in England.
- Color: White (likely “Natural White” or “Classic White”, as “Hotel White” is not a standard variant name, but “High White” is).
- Weight: 300 GSM (grams per square meter), which is equivalent to 140 lb, a heavy and durable paper suitable for heavy washes.
- Size: 260×180 mm (approximately 10″ x 7″).
- Quantity: 20 sheets, typically in a glued block format (gummed on all four edges) to prevent the paper from buckling when wet.
- Material: 100% cotton, manufactured to high archival standards, acid-free, and buffered with calcium carbonate to prevent discoloration.
- Texture: The texture (Hot Press (HP), Cold Press (CP/NOT), or Rough) is not specified in the “Hotel White” name, but it is available in all three.
This professional-grade paper is endorsed by the Royal Watercolour Society and is known for its strength, resilience to scrubbing, and suitability for various wet and dry media, including watercolor, gouache, acrylic, and ink.
Additional information
| GSMGSM stands for \'grams per square metre\' and refers to the weight of the paper. The heavier the paper, the higher the number of grams per square metre – and, generally, the higher the perceived quality of the stock. | 300 |
