Daler-Rowney System3 Acrylic Mediums will help you make the most of your paint. The versatility of acrylics and their popularity led to the introduction of acrylic mediums which are designed to enhance the benefits of acrylics and allow you to achieve special effects.

- Pearlescent Tinting is heavy bodied which, when mixed with acrylic colour, will retain the same consistency as the pure colour.
- You can see the paint really start to shimmer as it dries. It works well with all colours but really transparent colours enhance the effect.
- Impasto Gel Matt/Gloss Mix either of these with acrylic paint are used as an extender for a more economical use of colour on large impasto areas.
- The gel retains the intended stroke of brush or knife. If used in moderation, it has a minimal effect on the opacity of colour.
- Slow Drying Gel Slows down the drying time of acrylic paint. Slow Drying Gel is added directly to the paint and thoroughly mixed on the palette.
- Increasing proportions of retarder to colour will increase transparency and reduce the viscosity of the colour. Drying times vary according to conditions.
- Glaze Medium Gloss By mixing 90% Daler-Rowney Glaze Medium with 10% acrylic paint it produces a transparent glaze for painting.

System3 Gesso.
System3 Gesso has been specially developed as a ground for acrylic and oil painting with superior covering power. Directions: Apply a thin layer to the desired surface, and let the Gesso fully dry prior to applying paint.
Découpage Medium.
Découpage Medium is a clear gloss liquid with adhesive properties for use in collage, or as a final water-resistant sealant for all manner of craft works. Directions: To be applied directly to collage/ papier mache or decoupage to create a seal over the top of several surfaces. Suitable for use on stones, wood, card and paper.
Soluble Matt Varnish
Specially developed for the protection of acrylic works from environmental pollutants which can cause surface degradation. Sealing the surface with a matt varnish provides a barrier film which can be cleaned or removed, but leave the paint itself unblemished. This varnish is solvent-based and should be touch dry within an hour. However, as drying can depend on environmental conditions it is recommended to leave a full 24 hours for drying.
System3 Silicone Oil
Create amazing cell effects with System3 Silicone Oil. This can be added to wet colours of System3 Fluid Acrylics and Pouring Mediums to create detailed cells. Please note that the addition of excessive amounts of silicone oil can lead to defects such as craters, oiling out and tackiness.
Pouring Medium
Specifically designed to create pouring art with fluid acrylics for even more outstanding results! It has been optimised so that the high-loaded pigments used in System3 Fluid Acrylics will create bright and vibrant pouring paints and not be washed down with the System3 Pouring Medium. Directions: Mix the Pouring Medium with Sytem3 Fluid Acrylic colours in a ratio of 1 part System3 Fluid colour to 5 parts System3 Pouring Medium. High pigment loading in System3 Fluid Acrylics results in a higher brilliance and vibrance of the colours within your pours and finish in comparison to using standard acrylics. Mix until it flows at the required consistency. Once dry (drying can take between 12-24 hours depending on thickness) the high-quality resins ensure a durable, self-levelling, scratch-resistant and non-tacky surface. It is recommended that gloves are worn during application.

A thick paste which is used to build up heavy layers of texture It dries to a matt white finish which is ideal for over-painting with acrylic colour.
Directions: Can be applied directly to any surface suitable for acrylic painting or mixed directly with acrylic colours.

Daler-Rowney Purified Linseed Oil (500ml) Pack of 1
Daler Rowney Purified Linseed Oil reduces the consistency of your oil colours and slows down their drying time. Used straight from the bottle, this oil will give your paint a high gloss finish. It can be diluted with Turpentine or Spirits to thin, and makes an excellent medium for most types of oil painting.

Daler-Rowney Water Colour Mediums Art Masking Fluid (75Ml)
Used to create striking white highlights or areas for overpainting at a later stage. Forms a fast-drying, water resistant film on watercolour paper and board, easily removed when dry by rubbing with an eraser, soft tissue or cotton bud. An old brush, pen or cotton bud should be used to apply the Masking Fluid as it is extremely difficult to remove from brushes when dry.
