Daler Rowney’s Poppy Oil is clear in colour and is commonly used to mix with light colours; other oils, such as Linseed will cause lighter colours to yellow. Poppy Oil is less inclined to yellow than Linseed Oil, but is slower drying. When mixed with colour, this oil will enhance gloss and flow, but using it in high proportions will prevent the colour film from drying thoroughly.
